Summer holidays 2022

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

It’s Wednesday 27th July/28 Ẓūl Ḥijjah 1443H.

Summer holidays 2022

It’s that time of the year again that we have all been looking forward to. Thousands of families from up and down the country will be making preparations to travel to famous destinations like Turkey, Morocco, Dubai. Many families will be making plans for spending their holidays locally, here in the UK.

Whatever your plans are, please keep the following 5 points in mind at all times please:

1 – Under no circumstances whatsoever should you miss your Ṣalāh. Make sure you pray on time and, if possible, with Jamā’ah. If for some reason you miss one Ṣalāh, perform the Qaḍā immediately.

2 – Keep away from areas of immodesty and open transgression of the Teachings of Islām.

3 – Make sure the food and drink you consume is genuinely Ḥalāl. We are very cautious in meat and poultry products, but very careless in desserts and other non-meat items.

4 – Ensure you are dressed appropriately at all times. Yes of course you are allowed to have a good time and enjoy yourself. But not at the expense of your religion. Do not become an item of sightseeing for others.

5 – Remember that all good things in this world come to an end one day. Let not your holidays overshadow and spoil all the good work you might have done throughout the year as far as religious teachings are concerned.

We are Muslims from the cradle to the grave, from our first breath till the last. Let our actions be a means of invitation to Islam for the non-Muslims … not a deterrent.

May The Almighty take us all safely to whichever destination we will be heading for, and back home, and look after all of us at all times, Āmeen.

Please spread this message far and wide with your contacts.
