It’s Wednesday 20th July 2022/21 Ẓūl Ḥijjah 1443H.

Another auspicious evening in the company of Shaikh Muḥammad Salim Dhorat Ṣāḥib, مدظله العالی

Just over a month ago, I was blessed with an opportunity to visit the Islamic Dawah Academy (IDA) in Leicester. Its founder Shaikh Muḥammad Saleem Dhorāt, مدظله العالی, is a very respected teacher of mine and also a very close friend. It was on Tuesday 21st June, three of us from Blackburn, with a friend from Preston, arrived at the IDA at Maghrib time.

Shaikh’s Majlis was very spiritual as usual. The theme was to keep our intentions sincere at all times. Shaikh mentioned that usually all good actions start with the best of intentions. However, as we progress into carrying out the action, our intention starts to change.

This is where we have to have very strong willpower and keep on checking and rectifying our intentions. Although Shaikh’s mother was not so well that night, he still spent an hour with all the guests who had come from far & wide.

The highlight of the evening was when Shaikh called forward and comforted 3 students of the IDA. One was finding it difficult to settle at the IDA and the other two had received some sad news from home. For the first, his grandfather had passed away and, for the other, a family member had fallen ill.

Shaikh spoke with all 3 of them with fatherly love and affection and blessed them with Du’ās and some advice to handle the situation they were in. It was so encouraging for the students. Before departing after another memorable evening, I took the opportunity to invite Shaikh Saleem to come and spend a few days with us in Albania, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. Shaikh advised me to come and see him at some other time, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.

May The Almighty lengthen Shaikh’s shadow upon us and his mother’s shadow upon the Shaikh and all of us, Āmeen.

Once again a humble appeal to all the residents of Leicester and surrounding towns to attend the Tuesday, Friday and Sunday gatherings, Āmeen.

جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
Request for Du’ās
