An Evening In The Company of Ḥaḍrat Mawlānā Bilāl Bāwā Ṣāḥib, مدظله العالی
Upon getting admission into Dārul Uloom Bury in 1982, I recall meeting a very young dynamic scholar by the name of Mawlānā Bilāl Bāwā Ṣāḥib. I was told that Mawlānā Bilāl Ṣāḥib was most probably the last scholar to get Khilāfat from Ḥaḍrat Shaikh Zakarīyā, نور الله مرقد,ه, and maybe the youngest.
During my 8 years at Dārul Uloom Bury, I built up a good relationship with Mawlānā Bilāl and, مَا شَآءَ الله, this connection has continued to this day. During the month of June, I had the opportunity to attend the Islāhi and Zikr Majlis of Mawlānā Bilāl in Bury on 2 occasions, .مَا شَآءَ الله
For us living here in the North, we have been blessed with an absolute gem in the form of Mawlānā Bilāl Ṣāḥib. Mawlānā’s Friday evening Majlis from ‘Aṣr till ‘Ishā is next level. Mawlānā’s words of wisdom hit the hearts, and the Zikr that follows is so soothing and refreshing for our sinful hearts.
My message today to all the Muslims living in the North of England, who aren’t not too far from Bury, is to take advantage of this amazing pious personality. A world renowned speaker and the spiritual leader of thousands across the globe, Mawlānā Bilal Ṣāḥib is truly a rare scholar of his kind in our midst.
The Majlis takes place every Friday at Masjid-e-Khizra in Bury.
May The Almighty grant us all the ability to benefit from Mawlānā Bilal Ṣāḥib and other scholars who are in our midst, Āmeen.
