Ṣalāh With Jamā’at in The Masjid

It’s Wednesday 1st July 2020. Let’s talk about ‘Ṣalāh with Jamā’at in The Masjid’ today.

The last time the majority of us prayed Ṣalāh with Jamā’at in the Masjid was on Sunday 22nd March. The government has announced that places of worship can reopen for congregational prayers from this Saturday, 4th July, This is magnificent news ‏. We should all thank Almighty Allāh for blessing us with this wonderful opportunity again.

Adhering to the regulations and following the guidance set out by our local Masjid officials, all of us should be ready to attend the Masjid 5 times daily from this coming Saturday We may have been negligent in praying with Jamā’at in the past; however, our Merciful Creator has blessed us with another chance. Please do not mess up this time round.

We have all got used to praying Ṣalāh in the comfort of our own houses, in Jamā’at with our own families. Having done it for over 3 months now, we have got a set pattern. Remember that this was a temporary measure, due to the circumstances. Let it not be that we still continue with Ṣalāh at home, even if it is with Jamā’at.

The Masjid is the House of Almighty Allāh and praying Ṣalāh with Jamā’at is very important. Similarly, when other activities within the Masjid start resuming, make sure you take part. Tafsīr of The Holy Qur’ān, Aḥādīth Lessons, Bayāns, Tā’līm of Fazāil-e-Ā’māl, etc. Also, during the hours that the Masjid is open, try to spend as much time as possible in the Masjid in individual worship, making intention of I’tikāf.

To conclude, we were all very upset when the Masjids closed. Now that Masjids are about to reopen, show your happiness and gratitude and make sure you are there

Almighty Allāh keep our Masjids open forever and safeguard us from a second spike and closure, Āmeen.
