السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

My message today is addressed to our sisters.
Please can I make a humble request to all brothers to share this message only with all their Maḥrams? My first message on Thursday 26th March was, no communication with non-Maḥrams. Please adhere to this guidance in this message.
The specific topic I have chosen today is regarding Dress. Maybe a very obvious one; however, it does need addressing. What has happened to our modesty? As a Creation of The Almighty, we were supposed to follow the Commands of The Almighty at all times. How come we have stooped so low when it comes to modesty?
As fashion moves on, our Muslim sisters are at the forefront. They cannot be seen to be left behind. Without being too explicit, have you stood in front of the mirror with your leggings on to see how you look? Instead of protecting and making the best attempt to cover your body you took the complete opposite route? Why? Your body shape is fully revealed. Your dress showed your body, and now your leggings reveal everything else.
Please sister, you are not an item on display. You are a follower of Ḥaḍrat Khadījah رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا, Ḥaḍrat ꜤĀisha رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا, Ḥaḍrat Fāṭimah رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا, Ḥaḍrat Ruqayyah رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا. How will you face these Wives and Daughters of the Holy Prophet صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ on the Day of Judgement? Before you leave your house, look at yourself, and ponder upon the above.
Also, a word to my niqābi sisters, forgive me. The majority have brought shame to the niqāb. Walking on the streets, you sometimes attract more attention than our non niqābi sisters. The flashy jubbāhs, the makeup and eyelashes visible from the opening of the niqāb, the footwear. Your niqāb was to protect you, to keep the gazes away, to please The Almighty. What has happened to the simple black jubbāhs? Does everything have to be designerwear?
One final point. This is so degrading. An elderly 70 or 80 year Muslimah with a niqāb is accompanied by her daughters or granddaughters in shopping centres and public places. The daughters and granddaughters are so scantily dressed. They think niqāb is just for their elderly mother or grandmother. Non-Muslims must be thinking, what kind of a religion restricts the elderly ladies whilst the young ones are out on display?
Food for thought. Please forgive the harsh tone. Share far and wide and let’s change our lifestyle.
