Two Weeks in The Company of Shaikh ul-Ḥadīth Mufti Sabīh Akhtar, مدظله العالی (part 1)
It was a privilege and honour for us at the MWI to host the chairman of our partner organisation in West Bengal / Bihar, Mufti Sabīh Akhtar, مدظله العالی. Mufti Ṣāḥib is from Bihar and presently the Shaykh ul-Ḥadīth at the Jalālia Madrasah in Hojai (Assam, India).
My first meeting with Mufti Ṣāḥib was in Bihar, during a flying visit in early 2023, after which we were blessed to host Mufti Ṣāḥib later the same year, visiting a number of towns & cities.
During this visit, Mufti Saheb arrived in the UK on Thursday 18th June and spent the first 4 days in Lancashire visiting Blackburn, Bolton, Preston and Bury. The next 3 days were spent in The Midlands, visiting Birmingham, Nuneaton & Leicester.
After a brief stop in Luton, Mufti Saheb headed for Ireland, where he stayed for 4 days, mainly in Tralee & Dingle. Upon returning to the mainland, we visited Dewsbury, Batley, Manchester & Liverpool.
