It’s Saturday 27th June / 11 Muḥarram 1428 H
A Weekend in Ireland (part 1)
The MWI is working in 7 countries at present, مَا شَآءَ الله, one of which is West Bengal. Our partner organisation on the ground is led by Shaikh ul-Ḥadīth Mufti Sabīh Akhtar, مدظله العالی. Upon the invitation of the MWI, Shaykh ul-Ḥadīth Ṣāḥib is on a 2 week visit to the UK.
After spending a week in Lancashire & the Midlands, we accompanied Shaikh Ṣāḥib to Ireland. Our hosts are the two Imāms at the Tralee Masjid in County Kerry, one of Ireland’s most beautiful and scenic areas. Shaikh Mustafa from Bolton has been serving the community since 2008 and Shaikh Salmān from Blackburn joined him recently.
Both have carried out immaculate work in this part of the world, مَا شَآءَ الل, all credit to the Madrasahs and teachers under whom they have studied and been guided. Shaikh Mustafa is a graduate of Dārul Uloom Bolton and Shaikh Salman from Miftāhul Uloom in Blackburn.
Our guest, Shaikh Mufti Sabīh Akhtar delivered the pre-Ju’muah Bayān as well as the Tafsīr of The Holy Qur’ān after Maghrib. Muslims have been residing in this part of Ireland for over 20 years now. It’s a very vibrant and cosmopolitan community, thanks to the efforts of the Imāms and their families.
Around 180 children attend the daily Maktab which runs from 3:30pm until 7:30pm on a sessional basis. The host community gave us a very warm welcome and their hospitality was second to none.
During the day we visited a few places where the Atlantic Ocean flows. The Magnificence of The Magnificent Creator was reflected in the flow of the water, .مَا شَآءَ الله Thousands of miles of pure water as this is closer to the southern tip of Ireland after which there is water & water … until America. سُبْحَانَ الله.
To be continued, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
