Rights of the Husband

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

It’s Sunday 20th September 2020.

The husband and wife relationship is very very special. Just as it is compulsory upon the husband to fulfil the rights of his wife, the same also applies to the wife.

From the day of your wedding, you are now with your lifetime partner. You must ensure that you respect your husband and, at all times, make him happy. From now on, you have to take permission from your husband before going anywhere and, as much as possible, give priority to your husband.

Your spending should now be in accordance to the household income. If your husband allows you to work, then support him financially. Unfortunately, many wives are very demanding of materialistic things. This attitude then starts to affect the marriage.

Spend in moderation. If your husband provides you with an accommodation which is comfortable and fulfils your needs, be happy and content. Do not demand beyond your husband’s means.

As you now have your husband to go with, you should stop going out with friends.

A very important point is to treat your husband’s family as your own family. Remember, Remember, your husband has to fulfil the rights of his parents as well as your rights. Make that task easy for him.

Finally, no silent treatment please. Do not go to sleep over an argument without making up. Remember, Remember, one of you might not wake up the following morning. The regret will remain with you for life. Marriage is happiness, and joy, and laughter. Keep it that way.

Almighty Allāh bless all couples with happiness till their last breath, Āmeen.
