Back to BAE Again

It’s coming up to 2 years soon and the genocide in Gaza continues. Tens of thousands of our brothers, sisters and children have been martyred. Living in the UK, one very powerful tool we have is to raise our voices and show solidarity with Gaza, Palestine and al-Masjid al-Aqsa.

This coming Saturday 5th July, we need to come out in our thousands to protest against the BAE factory based in Samlesbury. They are responsible for supplying weapons to the Israeli army which are being used to wipe out the Palestinians.

We will not allow this to happen, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. People from all over the Northwest are expected to gather at BAE. We Muslims also need to be there in large numbers.

When I asked Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Usmāni, مدظله العالی, regarding segregation at such protests, bearing in mind that many non-Muslim organisations lead such protests and non-Muslims turn out in large numbers, usually much more than the Muslims. Mufti Ṣāḥib’s reply is as follows:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Any protest against the brutality of Israel is commendable. This is one of the possible ways to stand with the brethren of Palestine and ‘Ulamā should encourage it by their own participation but at the same time remain in parameters of Sharī’ah. If there are Muslim women, they should instruct them to observe hijab and should not mingle with men to the best possible extent’.

So come on brothers, sisters and children, make sure we are all at BAE at 1pm this Saturday, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. The following poster has all the details.

Share it far and wide.
