5 Days in Scotland in the Company of Shaykh-ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Usmāni, مدظله العالی, Part 1
In November 2025, once again, we were privileged with the honour to host Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Usmāni, مدظله العالی. This time, the setting was Scotland.

The 5 days spent with Ḥaḍrat Mufti Ṣāḥib were memorable, to say the least. It was also an opportunity to see the impact made in Scotland by the local scholars, especially the graduates of Dārul Uloom Bury.
Our journey started from Edinburgh airport, where Ḥaḍrat Mufti Ṣāḥib landed on Thursday 30th October in the afternoon. A number of local scholars had gathered to welcome Mufti Ṣāḥib. Mufti Shahbāz was the host here.
He went to substantial trouble, مَا شَآءَ الله. In addition to food, he also brought along his family to the airport, including his elderly mother, to meet Khāla Jān, who was travelling with Mufti Ṣāḥib. Dr Imrān was also on this journey.
The chairman of our partner charity organisation in India (GSWT), Ḥāji Afzal Memon had also arrived from India that morning and was part of our travel group. After lunch, Mufti Ṣāḥib rested whilst we were hosted by Mufti Shahbāz at his home.
From here, we made our way to Glasgow where the first programme was scheduled to take place. To be continued, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
