Let’s talk about ‘Yet Another Lockdown’.
It’s been less than 10 months since the first lockdown took place. Little did we know that we would have another national lockdown.
However, this lockdown is very different. Just when the Covid-19 vaccine was put into use almost immediately after creation, here in the UK, and we all thought we had the solution to the virus, another strain of the virus has gripped the nation and many parts of the world. What does this tell us?
The answer is not difficult at all. There is another very higher power that has complete and absolute control over each and every thing in this universe. When I ponder over some of the words being utilised by the so called world leaders and superpowers, I am not surprised one little bit that the pandemic is increasing beyond limits and may be at its highest peak.
‘We will defeat this virus.’ ‘We will get rid of it once and for all.’ ‘There is no room in this country for this virus.’
Sorry to say but many Muslims have used such language as well. We, as a creation, are very weak. We are nothing in front of our Magnificent Creator. It’s time for complete submission to His Power and Will. Let’s take this opportunity once again to turn towards Almighty Allāh.
Nothing much seems to have changed in our lives during the last 10 months. Daily Janāzahs, so many people unwell, so many sad stories, yet we are where we were 10 months ago, hardly a change in our lives.
Let’s start praying our 5 times Ṣalāh, with Jamā’ah for the males. Ensure we do not commit any sin at all and if by any chance we fall into sin, then repent immediately and start again.
Remember, Covid is either a punishment from Almighty Allāh or a test from Almighty Allāh. Either way, it is only through turning to Almighty Allāh fully that we will remove this punishment or get through the test.
