The First JumuꜤah Since Lockdown

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

It’s Thursday 9th July 2020. Let’s focus today on ‘The First JumuꜤah Since Lockdown’.

The last time the majority of us offered JumuꜤah Ṣalāh in the Masjid was Friday 20th March. Nearly 4 months later, ‏مَا شَآءَ الله we are blessed with the opportunity of offering JumuꜤah in the Masjid again from tomorrow اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. This really will be the first major test for all of us.

Keeping in mind that the coronavirus is still rife and that we must adhere to guidelines and regulations, there are 3 golden rules that we must all memorize and put into practice tomorrow and every JumuꜤah while this virus is around.

1) Please come early. Check what time your Masjid opens and try and be there as early as you can.

2) Please stay in the Masjid for as long as you can. Try and be the last one to leave.

3) Please follow all the instructions given by the Masjid officials. All Masjids will have trained officials who will make your entry, stay, and exit as smooth as possible. All you need to do is please follow their advice.

A humble request to all our sisters. If, in your household, you eat together as a family before JumuꜤah, please ensure food is served early and encourage your husband, sons, etc. to get to the Masjid early. If you eat together as a family after JumuꜤah, please do not ask them to rush back early from the Masjid. Delay your lunch time so that the men are not worried about missing their meal.

Let’s make tomorrow’s JumuꜤah a memorable one. Let’s have no issues at all, in any Masjid across the UK. Let the spirit of unity, patience and harmony prevail اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.

Almighty Allāh accept our JumuꜤah and always keep all of us in His Protection, Āmeen.
