Our Last Evening in Sofia (Bulgaria) with Shaykh ul-Islām
Our journey was coming to an end. It was Thursday 7th November in the evening, when the locals hosted us at a nearby restaurant for food.
It is at such occasions we take the opportunity to pose questions to Mufti Ṣāḥib or request him to enlighten us on special aspects of his lifetime achievements, etc. We touched upon a few issues with Mufti Ṣāḥib during which he came up with some amazing poetry.
Even at the age of 82, Mufti Taqī Ṣāḥib’s memory is still very sharp. Within seconds he recalls poetry and, many a time, recites the whole poem from start to finish.
I present a few couplets here for the benefit of the readers and listeners.
Almighty Allāh accept our travels in His path and bless us with similar opportunities again and again, Āmeen.
