Mufti Ināyatullāh Ṣāḥib at al-Masjid al-Aqsa
If my memory serves me correctly, I first came across Mufti Ināyatullāh Ṣāḥib in 1989, while I was studying in the 4th year of ‘Ālim class in Dārul Uloom Bury. From the moment my gaze fell on Mufti Ṣāḥib, I knew that this was one very special saint of Allāh.
Fast forward 35 years, the impression was spot on. Forget Blackburn and Lancashire, Mufti Ṣāḥib ranks amongst the top senior scholars of the UK, if not the world.
Having studied at the world famous Miftāh ul-Uloom in Jalālabad, under the supervision of Masīh ul-Ummat, Ḥaḍrat Mawlānā Masīhullāh Khān Ṣāḥib, نور الله مرقده, Mufti Ināyatullāh established Miftāh ul-Uloom here in Blackburn and has given his life in the service of The Almighty.
On Sunday 7th July, Mufti Ṣāḥib graced us with his presence at our al-Masjid al-Aqsa, .مَا شَآءَ الله Mufti Ṣāḥib led Maghrib Ṣalāh and thereafter gave a historical account of the arrival of Muslims to the UK in the 1960s and their achievements.
It was a most memorable speech, most of which I managed to record and will share with the readers/listeners, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. The first few minutes were very poignant, during which Mufti Ṣāḥib endorsed our Masjid’s name as al-Masjid al-Aqsa with reference to the original al-Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem, Palestine.
The 60-second recording accompanies this message. Mufti Ṣāḥib is not too well at the moment.
May Almighty Allāh grant Mufti Ṣāḥib complete Shifa and lengthen his shadow upon us, Āmeen.
We, the Muslims of Blackburn, are so blessed to have Mufti Ṣāḥib amongst us. Let’s value Mufti Ṣāḥib and benefit from his knowledge.
