Let’s Not Forget Pakistan
The severe floods that hit most of Pakistan have had a devastating effect on millions of people. As soon as the information of the damage caused started to come through, similar to other disasters, the Muslims of the UK rose to the occasion and donated tens of millions of pounds to charities.
The first phase of feeding and providing clothing and medicines is over and the need of the time is to provide rehabilitation to those who have lost their houses and all their possessions. Zakarīyā Masjid of Dewsbury launched an appeal to raise £100,000 to help the affected families.
They have raised close to £85,000 and have a team of 8 who are personally visiting some of the affected areas and distributing the aid themselves under the auspices of Dārul Uloom Karachi, led by Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Usmāni Ṣāḥib, مدظله العالی, and Jameah Khair ul-Madāris Multan led by Qāri Hanīf Jalandhari, مدظله العالی.
The delegation is leaving tomorrow (Sunday), My message today is a humble request to each and every reader to donate as much as possible to this appeal. I will be travelling with the group and, We will all do our utmost to ensure that your donations reach the affected families,
The group of 8 are all travelling on their own expenses, . The gift aid claimed will also be added to the total, So come on brothers and sisters, take this opportunity to donate to this appeal today.
May The Almighty look after all the homeless families and give us the ability to donate as much as possible to this very noble cause, Āmeen.
Further details of the appeal and donation methods follows. Please share this message of mine widely with all your contacts.
