It’s Thursday 11th June 2020. Let’s talk out about ‘Correct Islamic Guidance’ today.
Our beautiful religion, Islām, teaches us each and every aspect of life, from the cradle to the grave. However, it is very important to ensure that we educate ourselves with the correct Islamic teachings and guidance at all times.
Today, in the world of google and social media, the biggest harm we face is that information of all sorts is available at the click of a button. Whenever we have an issue or question, an answer is at our fingertips, a click and a few buttons away. As simple as it might sound, this is very dangerous.
Suffice to say that some Muslims have lost their Imān trying to find answers to Islamic problems on the internet. You will be thinking, then what do we do? Social media is so common and so convenient. Of course it is, however, ask your local Imāms and ‘Ulamā to guide you to the correct channels and sources, those that are authentic and managed by reputable scholars.
We in the UK are so lucky. Our two wonderful first establishments, Dārul Uloom Bury and Dewsbury Markaz, have produced scholars with amazing talents, مَا شَآءَ الله. Some of these individuals have established websites or social media platforms for all to benefit from.
Bayāns and lectures of the likes of Shaykh ‘Abdur Raḥīm Limbādā Ṣāḥib, Mufti Zubair Butt Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Muḥammad Saleem Dhorāt Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Maḥmood Chāndia Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Imām Qāsim Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Riyādhul Ḥaq Ṣāḥib, Mufti Muḥammad Ibn Ādam Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Zahīr Maḥmood Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Ḥasan ‘Alī Ṣāḥib, Shaykh ‘Abdur Raḥmān Mangerā Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Shams ad-Ḍuḥā Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Yūnus Dūdhwālā Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Aḥmed ꜤAlī Ṣāḥib, Shaykh Fārook Kāzi Ṣāḥib, Mufti Saifur Raḥmān Ṣāḥib, Mufti Jāvid Pathān Ṣāḥib, etc. The list is endless.
These are our superstars. They are the ones who have studied and benefited from the likes of Shaykh ul-Ḥadīth Ḥaḍrat Mawlānā Muḥammad Yūsuf Motālā Ṣāḥib نور الله مرقده and Ḥaḍrat Ḥāfiẓ Patel Ṣāḥib رَحْمَةُ الله عليه. Therefore, no excuses that we did not know right from wrong. Most importantly, inform the upcoming generations of these names.
They are the cream of our society, the ones we should be following and learning our religion from. Finally, I will not be doing justice to this article if I do not mention my friend Mufti Yūsuf Shabbir. On a number of occasions, Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Us̱mānī, مدظله العالی, has remarked ‘I have been very touched by the zeal and passion of Mawlānā Yūsuf in matters pertaining to Islamic jurisprudence and research’, سُبْحَانَ الله.
Mufti Yūsuf’s https://islamicportal.co.uk is an awesome encyclopaedia of Islamic knowledge. A must read and reference for each and every Muslim, not just of the UK, but worldwide. Almighty Allāh lengthen the shadows of all of our scholars upon us and enable us to benefit from them time and time again.
The names mentioned in this article are just a snapshot of authentic Islamic scholars who are UK graduates. There are many more مَا شَآءَ الله and, now with maybe over a dozen Dārul Ulooms in the UK and Europe, these numbers will always be on the increase, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
Almighty Allāh enable us to acquire our religious teachings from authentic ‘Ulamā and guide us and our generations onto the Straight Path, Āmeen.
