A heartfelt humble plea from Hanif Dudhwala of Blackburn to all the ‘Ulamā and Masjid Committees that are following Moon SightingMoon Sighting according to the criteria adopted by the Central Moon SightingMoon Sighting Committee (CMSC).
With 2 months to go to Ramaḍān, it is time to discuss and change to the Moon SightingMoon Sighting criteria adopted by the Wifāqul ‘Ulamā (WU) and Batley Moon SightingMoon Sighting Committee (BMSC).
It has been proven again and again that the CMSC is informing us regarding Moon SightingMoon Sighting according to the pre calculated Ummul Qura Calendar of Saudi Arabia. For this month of Rajab, our CMSC are claiming that an 8-hour-old moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia.
With an estimated 70% of UK Muslims now following the other criteria (led by WU, BMSC, Barelvi Jamā’at, etc.) let us all unite and start following the majority. This will ensure that we all start Ramaḍān together and celebrate ‘Eid together. Please do not ignore this message of mine. Let’s unite with the majority.
