It’s Saturday 16th May/28 Ẓūl Qā’dah 1447H
5 days in Scotland in the company of Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Usmāni, مدظله العالی, Part 2
We arrived at the Woodfarm Education Centre, a Masjid in Southside Glasgow, where a large crowd had gathered to listen to Mufti Ṣāḥib. Our host that Thursday evening was Shaikh Habibur Raḥmān, a graduate of Dārul Uloom Bury and a very close friend.
Under the instructions of Ḥaḍrat Mawlānā Yūsuf Motālā Ṣāḥib, رَحْمَةُ الله عليه, Shaikh Habib has established an online maktab under the name almasjid.co.uk. Shaikh Habib had requested Mufti Taqī Ṣāḥib to deliver the first lessons of Tahawi Sharīf & Tirmizi Sharīf for the students starting their final year.
Mufti Ṣāḥib spoke for about 45 minutes, during which he expressed his happiness at seeing the progress Scotland was making in the field of Islāmic education. He reminded the audience about the authenticity of the Islāmic teachings and how its original nature was preserved.
He compared it with some other religious canonical texts. This was a special blessing of Allāh, and an outcome of the devotion the Muslim Ummah has shown to its deen. He said, this commitment needs to continue and should be a priority.
Mufti Ṣāḥib concluded the programme with a Du’ā. Food that evening was prepared at al-Masjid Darnley Musalla nearby. It had been a very long day so after food we took permission from our host and made our way to our resting place for the night.
The next day was Friday 1st November. Mufti Taqī Ṣāḥib had 2 programmes. Jumu’ah at the Glasgow Central Masjid and evening programme at an Islamic school.
To be continued, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
