Since the last 3 months, our Palestinian brothers, sisters and children have been the victims of a mass genocide. Israel, backed by the US and UK, has broken every single law and is still continuing to do so.
They are being supported and financed by many companies worldwide, including many from the UK. My message today to all my readers here in Blackburn and across the country is that we have no choice now but to come out in our thousands and raise our voices against these companies.
This coming Monday, 15th January,we are having mass protests outside the Barclays banks in all towns and cities, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. At 1pm on Monday, make sure we are all out there in our thousands.
Those who are working can take their lunch hour between 1 & 2. Unless you are severely disabled or in an emergency dire situation, you must not be anywhere else but outside Barclays on Monday.
Remember, actions speak louder than words. It’s no point cursing the oppressors all day long and sitting at home doing nothing. Yes of course our Du’ās will help. Our worship will help. Our obedience to our Creator will help.
But the help came fastest when people took to the fields to fight oppression and injustices. This is the need of the time. In accordance with the law of the land, we can come out and tell the companies to stop supporting the genocide.
Those of us who bank with Barclays should find a suitable alternative and close down their Barclays accounts on Monday. Please do not let our Palestinian brothers, sisters and children down. For the sake of the hundreds of babies who have been martyred, please come out on Monday.
