Time For University
From the birth of your child until they reach 18, your child has most probably been in your company. You will remember the day you left your little darling child at the entrance to the nursery and walked back home alone, most probably with a tear or two in your eyes. It was the first time you let go of your child into another environment.
Fast track 13 years and the same child is now packing their bags for university. Whether your child is going to commute daily or reside at the university, it’s a completely different world out there. Before your child leaves home, it’s your responsibility as parents to ensure you instill the best advice in your child.
At no point should their religious teachings be compromised. You will have to ensure they choose the right company and are on the straight path at all times. Students who reside at university campuses need much more care and attention.
In order to assist parents for this massive change that is about to hit them, a very important programme will be delivered by Shaikh Hārūn Sidat of Blackburn this evening (Saturday 17th Sep) after Maghrib Ṣalāh at the Lammack Musallah here in Blackburn (receiver frequency 455.750). Please ensure you all try your utmost to benefit. Boys going to uni should attend in person. Those listening from home should tune in to the receiver and benefit. Remember, the next 4 years will shape the life of your child; it really is a game changer.
The biggest and best degree your child has to graduate with is becoming a practicing Muslim. Of course they have to study hard, but under no circumstances whatsoever should any religious teaching be compromised.
