The Queen’s Jubilee
I was 10 years old when I first heard the word ‘jubilee’. It was 1977 and there was a very special buzz at our Daisyfield Primary School. We received special silver spoons to mark 25 years since the Queen took the throne. That was 45 years ago.
Twenty Five years later, in 2002, the Queen reached another milestone. It was the year of the Golden Jubilee. Fast track another 20 years, we are now witnessing the Platinum Jubilee. The Queen is celebrating 70 years on the throne at the age of 96.
You must be thinking what is the purpose of this message of mine today. It’s quite simple really. Doesn’t matter who you are. Doesn’t matter what kind of a life you have. You can have all the riches of the world. Or, you may own nothing. The reality of life is that one day it will come to an end. What happens next?
The most intelligent person is the one who prepares for the life hereafter. It really is not rocket science to understand that there is a purpose to each and every thing in life. Keeping this point in mind, the most important thing to keep in mind is the purpose of our life.
It is to make our Creator happy so that He bestows us with the happiest eternal life in the Hereafter in Jannat ul-Firdaus. Do not be deceived by the fantasies and the riches of this world. They will all surely come to an end. Focus on your Hereafter and you will be successful forever and ever, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. Follow all the Commands of The Almighty as shown by His Last and Final Messenger, The Holy Prophet صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
May The Almighty grant us the ability to realise the value of this life, Āmeen.
