السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It’s Sunday 19th December / 16 Jumādā al-‘Ūlā 1443H.
Let’s talk about the Tablīgh Jamā’ah today.
During the last 10 days, you may have received messages or watched videos relating to the ‘Tablīgh Jamā’ah’. I’m sure you will know what this movement is all about. However, you might not be aware of the huge impact this Jamā’ah has had on the lives of millions.
The work of this particular group is absolutely phenomenal. Unprecedented, since the time of the Ṣaḥābah, رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ. At a time when Muslims were getting embroiled in traditions and cultures, which were taking them away from the real and pure Islāmic teachings, this Jamā’ah was established purely and solely to bring the Muslims back to their reality.
The founder of this group was a pious, sincere scholar in India, by the name of Mawlānā Ilyās, رَحْمَةُ الله عليه. His sole aim was to connect the Creation with the Creator. He started this effort on his own and soon hundreds of thousands joined. As a poet said so eloquently: ‘I set off towards the destination on my own. As I journeyed forward, a caravan began to form.’
So, from very humble beginnings, this Jamā’ah started its work, sacrificing their own time, spending their own money, travelling far and wide, for days, weeks, months and years. The mission they had started was nothing new. Not invented. Not created. Not an innovation.
Resembling the golden era of Islām, the efforts that were made by the Best of Creation, The Holy Prophet صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, for 23 years in the Arabian peninsula, were being revived again. Going door to door, village to village, town to town and city to city, calling all the Muslims towards good and refraining from bad. In fact, their work extended to the whole of humanity, Muslims and non-Muslims.
The pioneers and founders were so sincere in their intentions that this particular work has reached each continent, and every corner of the world. Their mission statement is taken from the verse of the Holy Qur’ān: ‘Enjoining the good and forbidding the evil.’
The environment we see here today in the UK is testimony to this great work. They have become the means of changing the lives of millions.
Is it any wonder then that the country which we regard as the Holiest of Lands and has the honour of housing the best 2 Masjids in the universe, due to their leaders stooping so low as to allow forbidden actions to take place there, are trying to slander and malign this Jamā’ah, and ban them from their territory?
Little do they know that the efforts of this Jamā’ah have already pervaded through all parts of the Arabian Peninsula and the sterling work is carrying on despite all their efforts to stop it.
All of us have immense love for the Ḥaramain. We need to make very special Du’ās that may The Almighty guide all our leaders on to the Right Path and protect our Holy Lands at all times, Āmeen.
Almighty Allāh reward all our brothers and sisters associated with this very noble work of Tablīgh and protect them at all times from the evil eye, Āmeen.
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
