Self Reflections – An Introduction

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

It’s Thursday 13th August 2020. Let me introduce you to Self Reflections today.

It was Monday 23rd March when the UK went into lockdown. This was the first time we had experienced such a situation. I sat on my musalla at home after every Ṣalāh, pondering upon the reasons why The Almighty may be upset with us.

For the next 3 days, I kept on thinking and thinking, and from Thursday 26th March, started writing messages addressing the issues that came into my mind, with the intention of self rectification.

I decided to share the messages with around 30 of my close family members, friends and associates. A number of issues came to mind some of which, although controversial, needed addressing.

Over the next 100 days, with the Blessings of The Almighty, 100 messages were put together and shared. The distribution list gradually increased and evolved into a broadcast list, reaching over 150, اَلْحَمْدُلِلّه.

To ensure no one missed out on the key messages, we started going through them once again, with an emphasis on reminding ourselves and evaluating whether we had put the messages into practice, bringing about change in our lives.

These messages are presented to you under the heading of Self Reflections. Please make use of the search facility to review some of the messages which you may have missed, or click on one of the tags which may catch your eye.

Finally, please feed back any comments using the contact page.

May Almighty Allāh give us the correct understanding and guidance of what we need to do to come out of this pandemic, and to always keep our Creator happy, Āmeen.
