السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It’s Monday 8th November 2021/4 Rabī’ ul-Ākhir 1443 Hijri.
Let’s get a Rabī’ ul-Ākhir Moon Sighting – Update* today.
The start of this month of Rabī’ ul-Akhir is split once again. The CMSC, WU and the Barēlwī ‘Ulamā started the month of Rabī’ ul-Akhir on Saturday 6th November. The NCS are the exception, again.
Similar to previous months, the NCS had sighters across the UK. One very passionate regular moon sighter from Bolton had invited me to join him on a number of occasions. To his surprise, I took up his offer this time, and spent over an hour with him at one of the best moon sighting locations here in the North of England, مَا شَآءَ الله. However, it was not to be so, as the moon was not sighted locally, they completed 30 days of Rabī’ ul-Awwal, exactly in accordance with the Ḥadīth and the Sunnah method.
We have entered into the 4th month of the Islāmic Calendar. So what has changed so far, this year? For people like me who are following the CMSC, it is really disappointing that the CMSC has, yet again, not provided any evidence for starting the month of Rabī’ ul-Akhir after 29 days.
I have made numerous efforts to communicate with the responsible members of the CMSC to request they openly declare whether they have followed actual ru’yat, or the Umm ul-Qura Calendar. As usual, there’s only silence.
I would like to take this opportunity to again request the CMSC to produce the official actual Moon Sighting testimony every month. Without this, we have no choice but to conclude that they are making us follow the Umm ul-Qura calendar.
On the other hand, the WU and the Bareilwī ‘Ulamā very clearly presented the evidence of the moon being sighted in South Africa on Friday evening, مَا شَآءَ الله. I am losing more and more trust in our CMSC day by day!
Almighty Allāh unite us all on the issue of Moon Sighting so that we can observe all our 12 months with unity, Āmeen.
The Almighty unite the Muslims of the UK on the issue of Moon Sighting and bless us all with the correct guidance, Āmeen.
