Prince Philip

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

It’s Sunday 18th April 2021.

Let’s talk about ‘Prince Philip’ today.

You must be wondering what Prince Philip has got to do with us, especially during this most blessed month. You are absolutely right. Nothing at all.

However, my message today is to bring to our attention the reality and value of life. All of us know about the Royal Family. They are famous across the globe. As regards wealth and fame, they will most definitely be ranked amongst the richest in the world. Having been married to the Queen, Prince Philip had access to all the leisures and pleasures of this world.

So much so, that many will have envied him, and wished they also had the same fortune as him. Having reached the age of 99, every Royal, and many across the world, were probably waiting for his 100th birthday. That was the moment they were all looking forward to. It wasn’t too far away; just 2 months to go.

His death, at 99, has once again proven beyond doubt that there is only one King of kings, who has the full control of life and death. He is The Almighty, and He is the Lord of the worlds. It’s not rocket science at all to work out that there is a Magnificent Creator of this whole universe and whatever it contains.

Incidents such as this, and many others, prove beyond doubt that it doesn’t matter how rich you are, which elite family you belong to, what status you hold, etc. When your moment of departure arrives, you will have no choice but to go.

On this 6th day of this first ‘Asharah of this beautiful month, let’s ponder upon the value of life and the purpose of living. Do not waste even one second of your life. Keep on carrying out good deeds and always keep your focus on the Hereafter.

Prince Philip has left behind each and every luxury he had. The real winner is the one who prepares for the eternal luxuries of the Hereafter.

Almighty Allāh give us all the understanding to learn lessons from such incidents, Āmeen.

Almighty Allāh accept all our ‘Ibādat in this blessed month, Āmeen.
