Have You Sorted Your Qurbāni Yet?
As we enter the blessed days of Ẓūl Ḥijjah, it is very important that we start making arrangements for our Qurbāni (Udhiyah). If Qurbāni is Wājib on you or your family members, then you have a few options.
Ideally, and if possible at all, please try your utmost to arrange your Qurbāni locally, here in the UK. It will be very beneficial for your family, children and even grandchildren to take part in this very important Sunnah.
You also have the option of having your Qurbāni carried out, on your behalf, abroad. If you do go down this route, then please do not go looking for the cheapest offering. There are many different grades of animals and the cheaper you look for, the lower the grade.
When it comes to providing people with food, we should provide that quality which we prefer for ourselves.
None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself [Al-Bukhari, Muslim].

The Magazine also includes an article detailing the visit to Albania by Mufti Hanīf Patel and the Masjid-e-Vali team last year at Qurbāni time.
May The Almighty accept all our Qurbānis and make this coming ‘Eid ul-Aḍḥā a time of joy and happiness for Muslims throughout the world, Āmeen.
