- السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
It’s Friday 31st July 2020. Let’s talk about ‘ ꜤEid ul-Aḍḥā 2020’ today. مَا شَآءَ الله, it is so pleasing to report that the majority, if not all, the Muslims of the UK celebrated ꜤEid ul-Aḍḥā today. What a wonderful display of unity, with all the Masjids up and down the country holding their ꜤEid Ṣalāhs on the same day.
Being a Friday added to this very special occasion. In such challenging times, one of the most important needs of our community is unity. This is where our strength lies. At the same time, we must give credit to the management and volunteers of each and every Masjid. مَا شَآءَ الله they all made so much efforts to ensure we all prayed not just our ꜤEid Ṣalāh, but all the Ṣalāhs since lockdown ended, in the Masjids.
As part of the management committee of Masjid-e-Anīsul Islam, I personally, first hand, witness the huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. From the preparations well before the Masjid opens, until the final cleaning and sanitizing well after the Masjid is closed, all of our volunteers do a sterling job.
It is very easy to tell the community what to do and how to do it, but carrying out the tasks is the real service. Let’s pray to Almighty Allāh that He, through His Infinite Mercy and Grace, unites all the Muslims of the UK to always celebrate their ꜤEid on the same day, Āmeen.
Also, may Almighty Allāh accept the selfless services of all the volunteers of all Masjids and make this sincere effort of theirs a means of entrance into Jannat ul-Firdaus for them and their families, Āmeen.
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
