السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
It’s Thursday 19th August 2021 (10th Muḥarram 1443).
My chosen topic today is Durūd Sharīf and Jumu’ah.
The Islamic day starts from Maghrib and ends at Maghrib. At sunset today, the blessed day of the week will commence. There is a very special connection between Durūd Sharīf and Friday. Due to the uncountable favours upon us of our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, it is our duty to send as much Durūd (Salutations) upon Him as possible.
We should constantly recite Durūd Sharīf, and this recitation should increase from Maghrib every Thursday. If our Beloved Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, had not made the sacrifices to spread Islām far and wide, what would have been our position today. We are indebted to our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, for life.
Therefore, my humble message today to you is to make a practice of reciting the Durūd Sharīf in abundance and increase this recitation on Fridays. No one should sleep tonight before praying Durūd Sharīf at least 100 times. You can pray any Durūd Sharīf you want. One of the most recommended is Durūd e Ibrāhīm which we pray in Ṣalāh. There are also many shorter versions.
I have also added a small audio clip of a beautiful and emotional Ṣalām upon our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, which captures the qualities of our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, and gives the heart and soul real comfort and peace. Make a habit of listening to this Ṣalām on a daily basis.
Finally, do keep in mind that all our Durūd Sharīf are presented by the Angels to our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. The one who recites the most Durūd Sharīf will be the most closest to our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, on the Day of Judgement.
Almighty Allāh accept all our salutations and allow us all to benefit from the intercession of our Holy Prophet, صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, on the Day of Judgement, Āmeen.
Do share widely please and enjoy the Salaam.
جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا
