Blackburn Sisters 4 Sisters (S4S)

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

It’s Saturday 16th October 2021/10 Rabī’ ul-Awwal 1443 H.

Let me introduce you today to Blackburn Sisters 4 Sisters (S4S).

During the last couple of years, a number of families seeking asylum have come to the UK. They have come from many different countries. We, at the Muslim Welfare Institute (MWI), were contacted by Preston’s Promise, a sisters organisation set up in Preston.

They had come to know of the plight of over 100 asylum seekers, who were housed in a closed down hotel, in Southport. In order to provide the right guidance and support to the asylum seeking ladies, a few sisters of Blackburn volunteered to help them in their hour of need.

Starting with just 3 volunteers, these sisters of Blackburn encouraged more ladies to join. By the Grace and Mercy of The Almighty, and their sincerity and devotion, they have managed to set up a small team, choosing the name ‘Blackburn Sisters 4 Sisters’ or ‘S4S’ in short.

Their intention is to help as many ladies as possible, who may be asylum seekers, refugees, reverts or even local ladies facing hardship or difficulty. All the sisters are volunteers and are simply doing this for their Hereafter.

The purpose of my message today is to introduce this new voluntary group, and their first event organised for ladies and children under 11 only. Tomorrow (Sunday 17th October), they are setting up a pop-up shop at their premises, which is based at Unit 10C, Whalley Range Business Park, Blackburn, BB1 6DG (near Asia Continental, off Whalley Range).

They will be selling ladies and childrens clothing and footwear and many other items, to raise funds for their activities with the vulnerable groups. My very humble request to all sisters of Blackburn and beyond is to support this ‘S4S’ group with their generous donations and moral support.

Come and visit them at the pop-up shop tomorrow between 11am & 2pm. Whilst we all do a lot of wonderful charity work for our brothers and sisters throughout the world, let’s not forget those on our doorsteps who, out of no fault of their own, find themselves in very difficult and unfortunate circumstances.

Almighty Allāh take ‘S4S’ from strength to strength and keep all our sisters and children in His Protection, Āmeen.

Brothers are requested to share this message with their womenfolk and also wider family females.
