Are You Ready To Meet Your Creator?
A friend’s elderly mother passed away last week. At the Janāzah, the Imām Ṣāḥib gave a little reminder to the congregation that we are not here for good.
A very touching point he mentioned was that back in the day, in our countries like India and Pakistan, the older you were, the higher the chances of you passing away next, in general. The Imām Ṣāḥib went on to say that at the Janāzah of an elderly person, people would say that so and so is the oldest left now in our village, so most probably he will be the next to leave this world.
That is exactly what would happen. Imām Ṣāḥib finished off by saying that the situation has changed dramatically now. You don’t have to be the oldest to depart this world next. The point of my message today is – are you ready to depart from this world?
Have you got enough good actions in your book of deeds? Are you ready for the Angel of death to extract your soul and take you to meet your Creator? Remember, if you are young or old, ill or healthy, poor or wealthy, the most intelligent person is the one who prepares for the life Hereafter.
Therefore, let’s take heed from all the Janāzahs that are taking place around us.
May The Almighty make our happiest moment the moment we meet with Him, Āmeen.
