It’s Saturday 16th November 2024 / 14 Jumādā al-‘Ūlā 1446H
8 days in the company of Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Muḥammad Taqī Usmāni, مدظله العالی
Two very close friends, Mufti Muḥammad Ibn Ādam of Leicester and Yahya Batha of London, informed me of the arrival of Shaykh ul-Islām Mufti Taqī Usmāni to Sicily, Bulgaria and the UK. My happiness and joy knew no bounds.
Having travelled with Shaykh ul-Islām to a few countries, including Albania, Bosnia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary and Malta, I could not miss his Sohbah in a further 2 European countries with Islāmic history.

The 5 days in Sicily and Bulgaria from Sunday 3rd Nov to Friday 8th and the 3 days in the UK from Tuesday 12th Nov to Thursday 14th will be remembered and cherished for a very long time to come.
Mufti Taqī Usmāni needs no introduction, but as a brief refresher …
I first met Mufti Ṣāḥib some 30 years ago and my first journey with Mufti Ṣāḥib was to Albania in 2006. During the last 18 years, I have been blessed with many opportunities to spend time in Mufti Ṣāḥib’s company.
Another two very close friends here in Blackburn, Mufti ‘Abdul Hamīd and Mufti Yūsuf Shabbir gave me many opportunities to be with Mufti Ṣāḥib during his travels to the UK on behalf of the Tauheedul Schools Trust. We in the UK are very fortunate to have the likes of Mufti Taqī Usmāni visiting us and giving us an opportunity to benefit from his vast knowledge.
During these 8 days, I managed to record a few video clips and intend to share them with readers over the course of the next few weeks, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
You may also recall that I started writing on my Balkans journey in the auspicious company of Shaykh ul-Ḥadīth Ḥaḍrat Mawlānā Bilal Ṣāḥib, مدظله العالی, as well. Three parts have been published thus far. I intend to continue with that as well, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
Let’s listen to some of Mufti Taqī Ṣāḥib’s words of wisdom, speaking about Hazrat As’ad ibn Furāt, رَحْمَةُ الله عليه, the Tābi’ at-Tābi’ī who conquered Sicily. Muslims ruled over Sicily for 350 years, مَا شَآءَ الله.
