Dārul Uloom Bury Class of 1991 reunion part 2
It was 1991 when we finally completed our ‘Ālim course and the time came to say farewell to all our teachers, class colleagues and fellow students. Those moments, which are very difficult to describe in words, were very emotional.
It was the end of a very blessed era of our lives which, like all good things in this world, have to come to an end. As we moved on, life took us into many different directions. We would meet each other on special occasions, such as annual Khatme Bukhārī Jalsahs.
Those who lived in the same towns and cities would bump into each other quite regularly. During our days at Dārul Uloom, there were over 300 students from all over the UK as well as many other parts of the world. Over time, our teachers departed from this temporary abode, one by one.
Many of us class colleagues and fellow students would meet, under an emotional cloud, at the Janazah. In 2014, our beloved teacher, Mawlānā ‘Umarji Ṣāḥib departed from this world. Mawlānā’s funeral was attended by a large number of alumni. It was here that we decided to start our Dārul Uloom Bury Class of 1991 WhatsApp group.
To be continued….
