An Evening In The Company of Shaikh ‘Abdur Raḥīm Limbada
A very close friend of mine, Mawlānā Amer Aziz, met up with me after a very long time. We spent 3 years in the same room in Dārul Uloom Bury. Mawlānā lived in High Wycombe and, about 10 years ago, moved to Pakistan with his family to serve his sick elderly parents, remaining there ever since.
He came to the UK as part of a 7 month Jamā’ah from Raiwind, Pakistan. It was nice to meet up and catch up after so many years. On Tuesday 9th July, we were invited by Shaikh ‘Abdur Raḥīm Limbāda at his Madrasah at Hulton Lane Centre of Excellence (HLCE) in Bolton.
This was my first visit to HLCE. We were accompanied by Mawlānā Rafīq Sufi, who is a classmate of Mawlānā Amer. As we entered the HLCE, we were fortunate to meet Mawlānā Bilāl Bāwa Ṣāḥib, who had just completed his lesson and was leaving.
As usual, Mawlānā was full of smiles and laughter and gave us lots of Du’ās. Thereafter, Shaikh ‘Abdur Raḥīm started his Qur’ān lesson. The next 45 minutes were mesmerising. Shaikh ‘Abdur Raḥīm is a very talented and gifted individual.
During our Dārul Uloom Bury days, Shaikh ‘Abdur Raḥīm was side by side with our Ḥaḍrat Mawlānā Yūsuf Motālā, نور الله مرقده. Ḥaḍrat entrusted many tasks of DU Bury to Shaikh ‘Abdur Raḥīm who carried them out very efficiently.
Suffice to say that Shaikh was Ḥaḍrat’s number 2, after Mufti Shabbir Ṣāḥib. The HLCE is thriving with over 300 students, .مَا شَآءَ الله Shaikh has established another Madrasah in Farnworth and about to establish a third one in the surrounding areas.
My message today, generally to the Muslims of the UK, and specifically to the Muslims of Bolton and the Northwest, is to value this eminent scholar who is in our midst. Shaikh is the founder of the world famous Tafseer Raḥīmi.
Shaikh teaches Bukhārī Sharīf and many other Books of Ḥadīth. Shaikh has been gifted by Almighty Allāh with oceans of knowledge. مَا شَآءَ الله
May Almighty Allāh preserve all out teachers and scholars and enable us the opportunity to benefit from them again and again, Āmeen.
