السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

3 Janāzahs in 3 hours including a 3 year old
Once again Janāzahs are on the rise, especially here in the North. On Friday 30th December, 3 Janāzahs took place here in Blackburn, within a 3 hour period, one of which was of a 3 year old girl, diagnosed with cancer and had been through a lot of treatment over the last 12 months.
Alas, she had only come to the world for a 3-year period and returned to her Creator. She will be waiting in Jannah to welcome her parents, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. My message today is just another reminder that death may only be round the corner for us.
Whether you are young or old, healthy or sick, wealthy or poor, when your time is up, it’s up. During the time of the Coronavirus, when Masjids were closed, there was a massive uproar. Why do we have to close the Masjids? How can we?
Now that the Masjids are fully open, where are you all? Was it just all bark and no bite? After Īmān, the most important fundamental of Islām is Ṣalāh. From the moment your child is 7, you should be encouraging them to pray 5 times.
However, are you yourself praying 5 times? As we start a new year in the English calendar, let’s make a very firm intention (not a New Year’s wish) that ‘Almighty Allāh, I will pray all my 5 Ṣalāhs everyday, without fail’.
Make the effort, and once you are in a routine, it will become very easy for you. Remember, in Ṣalāh you are communicating with your Creator. Is there any other action better than that? All your problems will be resolved and you will be ready to meet your Creator when your time is up, اِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ.
May The Almighty forgive all the Marḥūmeen, bless their families with Sabr Jamīl and grant us all the ability to prepare for the moment we depart from this world, Āmeen.
